Orange cake


 


Ingredients


Sauce Ingredients:


Orange juice: a cup


Water: a cup


Orange zest: 1 tablespoon


Sugar: half a cup


Cake Ingredients:


Sugar: a cup


Vegetable oil: 1 cup


Milk: a cup


Baking powder: 1 teaspoon


Fine semolina: 2 cups


Eggs: 2 tablets


Vanilla: a tablespoon


How to prepare


Mix eggs, sugar, milk, oil and baking powder well in a bowl until mixture is incorporated.


Add semolina and knead well.


Grease a tray suitable for the oven with a little oil and a pinch of flour, then pour the cake mixture into it and put it in the oven at 180 for 30-35 minutes until it is done.


To prepare the orange sauce: Mix a cup of water and sugar in a saucepan over a medium heat until it melts with constant stirring, then raise it on the fire and continue stirring, until the mixture is the consistency, then add the orange zest and stir.


Add orange juice to the mixture and stir well until the ingredients are mixed and boil, then remove the saucepan from the heat and leave it to cool.


After the cake is done, pour the prepared orange sauce on it, leave it to cool slightly, cut it and serve warm or cold as desired.
