Ingredients for Marlenka Recipe


For the cake:


4.5 cups flour


1 glass of sugar


1 packet of baking powder


2 eggs


2 tablespoons of honey


55 grams of butter


For condensed milk:


1 glass of granulated sugar


6 cups whole milk


For the cream:


2 tablespoons of honey


300 grams of condensed milk


3 eggs


55 grams of butter


For the above:


400 grams of hazelnuts


How to Make Marlenka?


For the cake; Whisk the sugar and egg in a bowl to make the egg rise.


Put water in an empty pot and heat it on the stove. Prepare a heat-resistant container that can fit in the pan.


Put the butter in the bowl and melt without direct contact with heat.


Add the ingredients other than flour and baking powder into the butter and mix.


When the mixture has a homogeneous consistency, add the sugared egg and beat it with a mixer.


When the mixture has doubled to its original state, turn off the heat. Stir in the flour into the mixture and whisk slowly with a wooden spoon.


Since the cake will be in layers, it would be better to prepare each layer separately.


Pour 1.5 ladle of cake mix into the baking tray with greaseproof paper and spread it in a thin layer.


Bake in a preheated 165 degree oven for about 5 minutes. Apply this process until the cake mixture is finished.


For condensed milk; Put the milk in a saucepan and boil over medium heat.


Remove the residue accumulated on it during each transport and apply this process for an average of 2 hours.


As the amount of milk decreases, the transportation time will be shorter. So cook it in a controlled manner.


When an average of 1.5 cups of milk remains in the pot, pass it through a perforated strainer.


Add sugar into the filtered milk and melt. Put it back on the stove and cook until it boils.


When the milk boils, remove the pot from the heat and cool. This way you will get condensed milk.


For the cream; Melt the butter and then cool. Mix the remaining ingredients except butter in a large bowl.


Add the butter into the mixture and continue whisking. When the cream starts to thicken, put it in the fridge to cool.


Take the first layer of the cake you baked in layers on the serving plate and spread it by applying a thin layer of cream on it.


Sprinkle the crumbled hazelnuts on the cream. Then take the second cake and apply this process until the cake layers are finished.


Spread cream on the top and serve with a sprinkle of hazelnuts. Enjoy your meal.
